The Fitchburg Art Museum's next compelling New England contemporary art exhibition, Interior Effects: Furniture in Contemporary Art, opens with a reception on Sunday, September 23, 2–4pm.
From studio furniture to artworks ranging from sculpture to video, Interior Effects centers on furniture and its design as psychologically charged metaphors. The exhibition includes artwork by 10 New England artists: Katarina Burin, Sandra Erbacher, Samantha Fields, Yuri Kobayashi, Sarah Malakoff, Judy Kensley McKie, Tracie Pouliot, Celeste Roberge, Liz Shepherd, and Leah K. Woods.
Interior Effects is the second in a series of FAM exhibitions that link contemporary art practice to our region’s industrial heritage.
Guests will enjoy light refreshments and a cash bar at the opening reception.
The event is free with admission and free for all FAM members.
