Women, Art and Leadership

Spend a day among traditional and contemporary African art made by women artists. Learn about their global/community influence and how it continues to change our world today. You’ll see colorful masquerades and masks, beautiful symbolic textiles, and get to create your own African art in our studio.

After lunch, docents will take you through our special “Furniture” exhibition to view the works of contemporary women artists who bring new meaning to the art of furniture making. Finally, discover the life and vision of our native founder, Eleanor Norcross, with a guided visit to see her works painted in Paris and sketch your favorite.

Open to troops and girls with an adult. Bring a bag lunch.
